first thoughts on my new Kindle
I was recently surprised by a gift of Amazon Kindle reader, who gets e-book. Until now I had my e-book reader with iPod and PC versions of Amazon and Barnes & Noble not readers. I also Mobipocket Reader for some tests in the construction of digital books. In no particular order here are some of my first impression.
Even with the very skin, is light, easy to transport or storage or in a purse, backpack, laptop bag,> Travel bag.
The electronic paper display has a different reading experience. And 'certainly easier to read outdoors. The images are gray are used to the computer. Screenshots of some of the technical manuals have been read a bit 'more difficult.
The ability to download books from anywhere is a nice feature. Before the Kindle, I was hanging on to find a wireless network to get new books.
The Kindle is obviously limited to books sold by Amazon. APC, I used to move back and forth between books from different manufacturers.
The Kindle is certainly more compact to carry a laptop computer as a reader. Battery life is longer than the PC.
Another option for this old is not a touch screen. Press PREV PAGE and NEXT page was a new experience.
The Kindle allows you to adjust font sizes, all in lowercase for the old geezer fashion.
The stick of five modes for navigation. ItReminds me of the mouse on one of my first laptop. No big deal, but not my favorite way to move the page.
The Kindle comes with a cable for charging from a USB port. There is also an AC adapter / USB.
The power button on top serves as sleep-wake control. Like everything else online seems to be a division of opinion if there is less energy by turning off the device or leave used to sleep.
Books I had created with the Creator and MobipocketSome PDF files can be easily transferred from the PC if the Kindle with the USB cable is connected.
to take the convenience of being able, a small library in one elegant is nice. The option shall not add Amazon to buy the pound is a plus.
Using sites instead of page numbers underlines the importance of a good index.
With a Kindle, it is much easier to play for the formatting in the design of books for Amazon Digital TextPlatform.
